My song-writing career began as a student in London, when my song 'The Biggest Balalaika In The World' was recorded and issued on 'Clinton The Clown' LP.
EMI Records
My first job was as Label Manager for Tamla Motown, Apple and other labels, issuing repertoire by artists such as Stevie Wonder, The Temptations, Diana Ross, The Four Tops and others, several of whom I interviewed for radio.
As a Staff Producer with EMI's subsidiary in Cologne, I worked throughout Europe including Radio Luxemburg and learned the tools of the trade of pop music - writing music and lyrics to order, arranging, conducting, playing on sessions and producing records.
Over forty of my compositions have been released commercially, generating world-wide sales of more than 1.5 million copies, including the rock opera 'Power & The Passion'. I have also had several top ten hits in
Europe
.

Appearances on Radio, Television and in the Theatre (1990 - the present)
In 2005 I was the Pianist / Pink Coat in the Channel 4 TV series 'Wakey Wakey Campers', set in a 1960s Holiday Camp. I also wrote some of the music and songs used in the series.
My regular radio spot playing, singing and talking about popular music was a favourite of listeners to BBC Radio Gloucestershire (1996 - 2000).
As one of two pianists on two pianos, I have devised and toured two shows with Richard Reason whom I have known since student days in London (2000 - 2006).
I wrote, arranged and directed the music for two touring plays, one of which was the subject of an HTV documentary ('Not In My Back Yard' - 1997; second tour 2004: 'Surfing The Severn' - 1999).
'The entertainment was spot-on and was presented in such a friendly, yet professional manner'. Everyone spoke very highly of it and thoroughly enjoyed it'. (Mr. E. W.)
